What you will need:

  • 1 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice – about 5 whole lemons
  • 1 cup of sugar (you can add more if you like it more sweet)
  • 1 cup fresh ripe blackberries
  • 6 cups of water; divided

In a small sauce pan, add the sugar and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil and allow the sugar to dissolve. Set aside to cool.

Place blackberries in a blender, add the lemon juice and blend until smooth. Strain mixture through a sieve to remove the seeds *This is optional

Add the blackberry lemon mixture to a large pitcher, add in the simple syrup and top off with the remaining water. Stir and chill.

Serve over ice with a slice of lemon for a great mocktail – or try adding a couple of ounces of premium Vodka to it for a great adult drink.

Enjoy!

Summer Fresh Blackberry Lemonade

My kids loved this blackberry lemonade. So much so that I made Popsicle out of them and added some fresh berries to the molds. It’s a great way to kick back and chill.
