Mini Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich Recipe

These mini Philly cheesesteak sandwiches have all the same flavour of a regular Philadelphia cheesesteak sandwich, they’re just made mini. Loaded with seasoned steak, sauteed vegetables, and served with bubbling cheese in a soft slider bun. These mini sandwiches are sure to hit the spot.

Mini Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich Recipe

I love simple meals like this. These sandwiches make a great appetizer, but they also make a quick and easy dinner. Just serve with a side of fries, or a salad and BAM! Dinner is served.

Mini Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich Recipe

What you will need:

  • 1 medium size ribeye steak; cut thinly
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 green bell pepper; diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
  • 1 small onion; diced
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 6 dinner rolls or slider buns

Heat oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add steak, season with salt and pepper and cook until the meat is browned. About 5 minutes

Toss in the green pepper, the chopped mushrooms and onions and saute until tender. About 5 minutes.

Pre heat your oven to a high broil

Lay out the bottoms of each slider bun or dinner roll and place half a slice of provolone cheese on. Top with meat mixture and place the other half of cheese on top.

Broil in oven until the cheese is melting and bubbly.

Place top of bun back, serve and enjoy!

Notes
  1. Tip: Freeze steak for about 30 minutes, and using a sharp knife cut against the grain to get nice thin cuts of meat.
