Easy Fall Kids Crafts: Apple
If you are a teacher or community group leader made sure to put this craft in your back pocket for the fall season. For younger kids, you can pre-cut the strips for easier assembly. Kids of all ages will love creating the caterpillar.
Materials
Instructions
Cut red construction paper into 1 inch strips.
On a flat surface start layering the strips by making an “X” , place a small dot of glue where they touch in the middle.
Continue laying strips across each other placing a small dot of glue in the middle where they touch.
We used about 8 strips. Once all strips are in place, pinch them together in the middle and staple.
Bend the strips of paper upward and gather together, staple in the middle. This will form a round shape, the apple.
Cut out the shape of a leaf and bend a fuzzy stick into a stem. Staple in place at the top.
Wrap a green fuzzy stick around your finger to make the worm.
Glue on the googly eyes.
Hook the worm onto one of the strips of paper.
