Laundry Basket Bath

This was the best thing I ever did as a parent. I did this with baby #3 and bath time was so much better. It was easier on my nerves – slippery babies scare me – they weren’t sliding from end to end, and toys were getting away from them. Plus, bath seats can be hard to find now, laundry baskets are everywhere!

Use Hot Glue

Hot glue can be used for a lot of different things. To glue the little hole in the bottom of rubber ducks to prevent mold. Add some strips to the bottom of slippery socks, while great for those learning to walk, but also for those beginning to run. Those activity tables that you toddler stands at, put some hot glue on the bottom of the legs to keep it from sliding away.

Glitter

Put glitter in salt and pepper shakers to help keep it in the area they want.

Use a lint roller to clean up glitter. I have 2 girly girls, glitter is everywhere in my house and nothing cleans it perfectly, but a lint roller is going to be really handy.

Boo Boo Pack

Kids fall down and they want something help make it feel better, no kiss or band aid can do what cold can do. I have bought a lot of those boo boo packs and they all seem to get hard and uncomfortable to use. But you can make your own. Either freeze some marshmallows in a Ziploc bag, or make a solution that is 1 part rubbing alcohol, 3 parts water, optional: a little food color. You could also put a sponge in with it, giving it a solid shape.

I recommend doubling up on theZiploc bag and taping the seal just because kids like to pick at the seal, see what would happen, etc.

These are my four favorite parenting hacks. What are your parenting hacks?
