With cooler weather here my kids are loving spending more time outdoors! So I decided to share my Ultimate Fall Bucket List for Toddlers with you. So let’s get ready to have some fun with your little tike this fall!
Ultimate Fall Bucket List for Toddlers
Visit Your Local Pumpkin Patch
We have some amazing pumpkin patches here in Kentucky. I love to take my kids and see their eyes light up at all the different pumpkin varieties. They each pick out one for me to make some homemade pies with, and it is a great learning experience for them. I still remember my grandma teaching me which pumpkins make the best pies. TIP: Look for Pie Pumpkins the are different that pumpkins you use to carve with. Ask someone from the patch what are the best ones.
Rack Leaves Together
Okay, I know this seems like work, but there is nothing better than hearing the giggles when they hop in that big pile of leaves. Plus your toddler will love throwing them up in the air. Make a fun afternoon of it and purchase them a child-size rake like this one.
Find Fall Festivals to Attend
We have tons of local community festival to attend, and my kids adore them! Most are free admission and have tons of activities set up for toddlers and kids. My favorite one in Glendale Crossing Festival. It huge with over 500 craft booths and attracts people from several states over. TIP: Check with your local radio stations for upcoming festivals
Make Caramel Apples
This is an excellent time of year to make caramel apples. That is a great recipe for easy caramel apples, but make some toddler size ones! Make smaller bite sized ones attached to toothpicks. You can even let them dip them in sprinkles or their favorite toppings. TIP: Let your toddler pick out their apples from a local orchard.
Make A Leaf & Acorn Wreath Together
They will love searching for leaf and acorns to add to your fall wreath. Wreaths are super simple to make you just need a styrofoam wreath like this to poke leaves in. Then just add some acorns, a little ribbon, and you have one cute inexpensive fall decor item.
Visit The ZOO
Since temperatures are cooler animals are usually more active! Plus you won’t be near as exhausted from them summer heat. Our Zoo always extra activities centered around the season to help keep your trips fun.
